SPICE BLEND SERIES #2

A visit to a spice store prompted this series.  I was taken with the colors of the spices, and with the colors of the foods in an accompanying book.  I wanted to have much texture which I created with gels and pumices applied with palette knives. I gave each painting its own character by creating different patterns for each work.  The bright colors give excitement whether hung alone or in a grouping.
