Passing Through the Mist

When an advertisement in a newspaper captured my attention, I cropped and turned it until I had a design I wanted to use as the basis for an abstract geometric painting. That did not happen. As I applied paint, dripped some, and dragged some, I saw what looked like a street scene on a rainy, foggy day emerge.  Others see mountains and rivers.  Some people just feel a dreamy softness. Every viewer seems to feel something.
