I truly enjoyed painting "Simply Red" because reds are not colors I usually use. I thought it would be fun to challenge myself, and it was.
Reds are not colors I usually use. I thought it would be fun to challenge myself, and it was. “Simply Red” consists of several thin layers of many various shades of red. I mixed cold wax and sand with the paints to create texture. I love that this painting is one in which you will find new areas to investigate the more you view it.
